Ian qualified as a chartered physiotherapist from the University of Ulster having previously gained a Bsc in Sports Rehabilitation in St. Mary's University in Strawberry Hill, London. Ian's main interests are in manual therapy, musculoskeletal sports medicine and sports specific functional rehabilitation programme design. A keen athlete himself, Ian has played Gaelic football at the highest level and remains actively involved in the sport. He currently acts as the principle physiotherapist to a large number of teams in the North East region.

Alice qualified in 1970 having trained at Dublin School of Physiotherapy, Trinity College in Dublin. She went on to work in several hospitals before establishing her first practice in Cootehill in 1985 and subsequently joining forces with her son Ian as a partner at Cavan Physiotherapy Clinic. As a truly enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, she aims to achieve the highest standards of evidence-based practice in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of every patient. Her goals when treating her patients are to empower them to self-manage, adopt life style changes that will impact positively on treatment outcome and to encourage them to return to the activities they enjoy or need to do. Areas of special interest and expertise within musculoskeletal physiotherapy are in the treatment of spinal pain, pre and post-natal pelvic pain and sport related injuries.

Ciara graduated from Teesside University with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2017 and is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (MISCP) and CORU. Ciara worked in the UK within the NHS and gained valuable experience in both musculoskeletal and respiratory. Since 2019 Ciara has worked in private practice musculoskeletal clinics.
Ciara is passionate about musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of sports injuries and works alongside many of her local GAA teams, Cavan senior hurling team and lead Physiotherapist for Cavan Ladies LGFA.
Ciara is also trained in dry needling, orthotics and is a qualified Pilates instructor. Ciara attends many outside of work training courses and is always eager to continue learning. She has a strong interest in acute & sporting injuries and further developing her knowledge in Paediatrics.
Karen is the Practice Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the clinic and ensuring the highest level of customer care and service. Karen joined the team at Cavan Physiotherapy Clinic in 2016, bringing a wealth of business experience. She manages many aspects of the practice including HR, marketing, compliance, IT support and financial management.
